The 10 best resorts in Vietnam, as voted by travelers and experts, are spread across three regions, with Phu Quoc hosting three of these top destinations.
On March 3, DestinAsian, a Singapore-based travel journal and one of Asia’s leading travel agencies, announced the winners of its 14th annual Readers’ Choice Awards. These awards honor the best destinations, hotels, resorts, and airlines across the Asia-Pacific region, based on votes from travel experts and customers who have experienced the services.
The top 10 resorts in Vietnam were evaluated based on several criteria, including location, ease of access, services, experiences, room quality, and the friendliness and professionalism of the staff.
Leading the list is the InterContinental Da Nang Sun Peninsula, located on the Son Tra Peninsula. This resort is designed across four levels, named Heaven, Earth, Sky, and Sea. In second place is JW Marriott Phu Quoc Emerald Bay, located on Bai Kem in southern Phu Quoc. This resort, designed around the fictional Lamarck University from the 1920s, features a layout inspired by 18 different faculties, including natural and social sciences, architecture, biology, and zoology. The resort also gained international fame as the venue for Indian billionaire Kaabia Grewal’s extravagant 7-day wedding, one of the most spectacular weddings in India in 2019.
InterContinental Da Nang Sun Peninsula Resort – Sun Group
Amanoi Resort in Ninh Thuan is nestled within Nui Chua National Park, offering stunning views of Vinh Hy Bay with 36 villas that overlook either the sea or surrounding hills.
